Teenage Mums Empowerment (TME) is a non-profit organization based in Dandora, Nairobi Kenya; committed to empowering teenage mothers, school dropout girls aged 13 to 20 years, Survivors of SGBV and teen girl Refugees.

Situated in an area adjacent to the largest dumpsite in Kenya, our participants face immense socio-economic challenges.

TME provides vocational skills training and creates awareness about the root causes of teenage pregnancy to help these young mothers and girls lead healthier more independent lives.

Margaret Nyambura
I am a 29-year-old mother of two and the GBV & Welfare Officer at Teenage Mums Empowerment (TME). As a beneficiary of the TME program, I first joined in 2023 seeking help and currently I am a volunteer at TME.

In my role, I support survivors of abuse to access medical care, report cases, find safe shelter, and return to school. I also oversee participant welfare, ensuring girls and their babies receive meals, training tools, food aid, and housing when needed.

Having once walked the same journey, I am passionate about empowering survivors and walking with them toward healing and independence. I also support our founder, Njeri Kabiru, in strengthening TME’s mission.

Outside work, I love gospel music, dancing with my children, and watching drama series. My dream is to continue holding the hands of many more girls as they achieve their dreams. Welcome!
